Nigerian musician Kingsley Okonkwo, well known as Kcee, has revealed how he got duped of a $70,000 in song remix fraud.
During an interview on his YouTube series “Curiosity Made Me Ask,” with content creator, Bae U, the Limpopo hitmaker discussed his music career and how despite being in the business for almost thirty years at the top, he still managed to stay relevant.
The 44-year-old musician explained his lack of recent remixes of his hit songs, citing an encounter with an American musician as the reason.
Kcee recalled an incident that happened 7 years ago after paying an unknown American musician $70,000 to appear on his song; however, the musician broke the contract.
He also talked about how he was contacted by the American band One Republic, asking to be included on the remix of their song, Ojapiano.
When Bae U questioned him about whether or not he paid One Republic for the remix, he clarified that he didn’t and expressed surprise that an American band would get in touch with him to be included in his song.
