It seems that not everyone is as into Machala as we thought.
Uyi Godson, a close friend of Wizkid, has slammed the new song Machala by Instagram skit creator Carter Efe. The song recently became popular and has worked extremely hard to gain airplay.
However, it appears that a few people—among them Uyi Godson—consider the music to be trash. In a video, Uyi was seen criticizing the song that was made in honor of one of Nigeria's Afrobeat Kings, AYodeji Balogun, better known by his stage name Wizkid, calling it "crap."
Following a chain of responses in response to his conduct, internet users deduced that he was simply hating.Godson said;
Nigerians love listening to nonsense music that can’t cross over, what is, I Dey do like Machala.
